Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
BYOD allows our Senior School teachers the flexibility to incorporate various media resources, such as visual aids, audio-visual materials, and e-learning platforms. These tools not only cater to diverse learning styles but also bridge the gap between home and college learning, fostering independent study habits and preparing students for the demands of higher education and the modern workforce.
We have introduced BYOD for Year 11 and 12 as upper school students possess a greater capacity for responsible use of technology.
Student's that are accessing the following courses will require a device:
- Any of the Certificate II, III or IV courses.
- All markable work in any of the Certificate courses is through online portable and a device is crucial.
Other classes requiring a device include but not limited to:
- General Graphic Design
- General Visual Arts
- General Media Production & Analysis
- General Career & Enterprise
No directive for staff to ensure the use of BYOD in ATAR courses although the benefits in bridging the gap between home learning and curriculum delivery is clear.
